Purpose: To represent Custom HBC’s vast product catalog by creating a 100+ page “book” for print and digital. “A nod to the large Sear’s catalog’s of the past.”, was a line said in catalog meetings.
Production Notes: I was was the Director of Product Photography, and one of the 3 main lead designers. I was also the Technical Lead on making the catalog a collaborative effort. There were 3-5 designers, and 2 editors. The Copy Editor and Design Team were experiencing delays as one file was passed between the 2 departments. I took the technical lead to make this process more efficient by getting the Copy Editor Adobe InCopy and centralizing and organizing the whole project on the local network server to allow for simultaneous development. I was also one of the 3 main designers on the project using Photoshop, Illustrator, and final layout compilation using InDesign. We all were assigned a section and asked to maintain a look and feel that was templated by the Brand Manager/Lead Designer.
